What kind of an asshole does this to people? What a terrible person.

Good. This is exactly what McConnell needs to do. If Trump is the nominee Republicans will likely lose the Senate, Hillary will be President, her SCOTUS noms will sail through. McConnell needs to do everything he can to get out the large number of GOP voters who refuse to vote for Trump out to the polls to vote down-ticket and keep the Senate.

While still hopeful that Mr. Rubio might prevail, Mr. McConnell has begun preparing senators for the prospect of a Trump nomination, assuring them that, if it threatened to harm them in the general election, they could run negative ads about Mr. Trump to create space between him and Republican senators seeking re-election. Mr. McConnell has raised the possibility of treating Mr. Trump’s loss as a given and describing a Republican Senate to voters as a necessary check on a President Hillary Clinton, according to senators at the lunches.

Trump is a result of America’s current moral and cultural rot.

Why you should laugh in the face of anyone who touts Trump as a great businessman:

If his record for the past 25 years is any indication, there is a 75 percent chance Trump would declare bankruptcy during his presidency. Trump has declared bankruptcy for his Trump Taj Mahal, Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino, Trump Hotels and Casino Resorts, and Trump Entertainment Resorts during the presidencies of Bush 41 (twice), Bush 43, and Obama. Only the boom years of the Clinton presidency appear to have kept Trump out of bankruptcy court for a fifth time. As the presidential hopeful often reminds the public, performance and winning are where it’s at, and his four bankruptcies do reflect a distinguished performance of sorts—placing Trump in the bottom 5 percent of his corporate peers. No wonder that part of the bankruptcy deals required Trump to give up ownership or removed his authority to make day to day decisions for the company.

Bravo to the conservatives who started ‪#‎NeverTrump‬ and got it trending worldwide on Twitter. Best trend in forever. We will not let the party of Lincoln be taken over by an authoritarian con man and his Twitter army of racist basement dwellers. Trump delenda est!

Trump is a man-child of such thin skin that he once sued a Chicago architecture critic for saying he didn’t like a proposed Trump skyscraper.

Disgusting

Lotta racism on both sides this week. Take a bow, everyone.

Trump’s been doing this shtick for three decades. He’s a wannabe strongman. Always has been. It has nothing to do with Obama. He’s just finally found enough people who are easy marks this time.

Dumb old pinko likes Commies, film at 11

Trump praises China for the Tiananmen massacre, approvingly quotes Mussolini, and won’t condemn the KKK. There’s still time to get off this train and not support an unrepentant fascist, Trumpkins. And on the other side we have a federal criminal and a Castro-hugging pinko. Just take the gun out of your mouth, America. For the children.

“Because a claim must be false to be libelous, truth is an absolute defense against libel. So, for instance, if I write that Donald Trump is a blazing jackass who has driven his companies into bankruptcy four times, mainly because he doesn’t know how to handle debt, Trump can’t do anything about that, because it is true. If I write that Trump is poorly positioned to take on Wall Street because he owes practically every bank on the street enormous sums of money, I’m golden, because it is true. If I write that Donald J. Trump is a lowlife who has cheated on his wives and betrayed his own family and the families of others through his remarkable personal commitment to adultery, Trump has no recourse, because this is true. If I write that the fact that Melania Trump was a client of Trump’s dopey little modeling agency strikes me as creepy indeed — I advocate the separation of sex and payroll — I’m on solid ground, because the facts of the case are not in dispute. If I write that you credulous yokels who believe that Trump is self-funding his presidential campaign have fallen for an obvious lie, I am protected by the fact that this is documented truth.”

Super Tuesday is now over and the Republican “establishment” is wondering WTF is going on. Trump wins (mostly) everything and people wonder why given all of his faults, etc. Unfortunately, the “establishment” sat around with their heads up their asses thinking this would all eventually just go away. Unfortunately, he hasn’t and he is now well on his way to the nomination and the handing of the Country over to another 8 years of Obama via Hillary. One of the questions I believe the establishment has to answer is “Are the people voting for Trump new Voters or Voters that would have normally voted with Cruz, Rubio, etc. and just so pissed off that they choose Trump OR, is it that the establishment voters, again, sat on their asses not thinking they had to Vote and now their (and more than likely the Country) screwed?” I would believe the latter and thus there is still (although a very slim one) chance that this could get turned around in the next couple of weeks. Unfortunately, I also believe at this point that the only chance that Trump goes away is in a brokered convention, which may not be the best for the overall Republican Party.

    • It appears to be mostly Democrats and independents/”moderates” who are voting for Trump. He’s lost 3 of the 4 closed primaries, when only Republicans can vote, and most of the states from here on out are closed primaries, so it will be interesting.
